Smart Multiple Door Systems (MDS)

Operator safety
The Smart MDS range includes fluid management facilities that can be interconnected with proprietary fresh and waste “closed loop” solvent container systems. The controls and fluid connection points are a standard component of the Smart MDS system.
Design features
Smart MDS solvent degreasing systems are designed with a lower process chamber and an upper enclosure unit fitted with a retractable, hermetically sealing process door.
The internal process door is sealed during all non-degreasing activities to reduce solvent emissions to an absolute minimum. A second, external door is interfaced with the internal process door to ensure that only one door is open at any one time.
Smart MDS systems are available with an integral automated hoist option. They are also suitable for use with independent external factory hoist. The internal hoist option provides fully integrated automatic operation utilising a suspended work carrier within the enclosure.
Smart MDS is available as a completely new system or as a retrofit package for existing degreasing installations.
Solvent savings
The Smart MDS system is designed to reduce the idling losses of traditional solvent immersion processes by up to 98% *.
Replacing a typical open top system with a Smart MDS system achieves an overall reduction in solvent consumption of approximately 80% **. This provides the strong potential of achieving exclusion from the SED regulations.
Further reductions in solvent emissions can be achieved by fitting a carbon abatement unit. These units can be factory-fitted or retrofitted at a later date when performance of the system has been evaluated. Retrofitting avoids unnecessary expenditure, helps capital finance planning and ensures compliance with environmental legislation.

Degreasing Process
The Smart MDS system can be used with vapour immersion or stacked Liquid and Vapour immersion with integral sump concentrator.
